Founding Members

The Cork Convention Bureau is an initiative of Cork Marketing Partnership, a new organisation that brings together Cork Chamber, Cork City Council, Cork County Council, Irish Hotel Federation-Cork, Cork Business Association, Port of Cork, Cork Airport Authority and Failte Ireland South West Region to target, resource and develop marketing projects that can share resources and build synergies to effectively market Cork.

The role of the recently established Cork Convention Bureau is to stimulate interest and position Cork City and County as a destination for meetings, conferences, incentives and sporting events. The stakeholders of the bureau, namely the Irish Hotels Federation – Cork Branch, Cork City Council, Cork County Council, have committed funding for three years and supported by Failte Ireland. The bureau’s core activity is to secure business for the region through planned direct sales activity domestically and internationally thus promoting and profiling the destination and product offering.
