Cork annually plays host to some wonderful events, from The Montenotte Cork City Marathon, the annual Lee Swim, Live At The Marquee Music Festival, the Beamish Folk Festival along with the annual Cork Guinness Jazz Festival.
2008 will see Cork host the above events again and the City and County will welcome some magnificent events from the U18 Rugby World Cup to the World Road Bowling Championships, which will see 2,000 participants from Germany, Ireland, Holland, Italy and Spain competing for their county.
