CONVENTION

A Little bit of Cork in London

On 19th October, a team made up of Cork Convention Bureau (CCB) and members held an event in Richard Corrigan’s Bentley’s Oyster Bar and Grill in London to promote Cork as a Business Tourism Destination to some of the main MICE agents and associations in the UK. The evening was an opportunity for London buyers to meet the ‘Destination Cork’ team and learn more about the region.

With over 55 direct access routes from the UK and Europe including 12 flights a day into London, Cork is a very attractive option for UK conferences, meetings and events. The standard of hotel and venue product in the region has never been better with extremely affordable delegate rates on offer.

Evelyn O’Sullivan, Manager of the CCB stated “By bringing a little piece of Cork and Ireland to London we are creating a platform where solid business opportunities can be  developed. With the recent visit of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Cork received a lot of positive coverage across the UK and we hope to convert this positivity into business! ”
